Founded in January 2002, Kids In Technology is an award-winning educational organization that has spent more than 22 years helping students build confidence, creativity, leadership, and real-world STEM and technology skills through hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for the future.

Where It All Started

Kids In Technology began in January 2002 during a time when many underserved families were being left behind by the growing Digital Divide.

At a time when home computers and internet access were far less common, many students depended on crowded public libraries and limited school resources just to complete homework assignments and access technology.

Kids In Technology was created to help change that.

Through hands-on technology camps, students learned how computers worked, built their own computers, and took them home — giving families both access to technology and the skills to maintain and understand it.

The program was about more than computers. It was about opportunity, confidence, exposure, and preparing students for a future that was becoming increasingly driven by technology.

Evolving With the

Over the years, Kids In Technology grew into an award-winning educational organization recognized for hands-on STEM learning, school partnerships, robotics, coding, digital literacy, community engagement, and future-ready educational innovation. As technology changed, the organization expanded beyond traditional STEM enrichment into trusted school partnerships, hands-on learning, tutoring support, and digital literacy — building community trust and educational leadership along the way.
